There are countless ways that music affects our lives and I love being able to spread that love of music each and every day. My goal as a music educator is not to create professional musicians, but kids that grow up to appreciate everything that music and the arts do FOR us and TO us. Music is Mathematics. Music is Science. Music is Language. Music is History. Music is Physical Education. But most of all music is Art. It allows us as humans to take these techniques and use them to create more love, more compassion, more gentleness, more good, more emotion, and mostly more life--something no other discipline can duplicate. So take a moment to talk about and reflect on all of the ways music is a part of YOUR life and recognize the beauty it brings to our world.
